Ralph King landed in Scotland on D-Day, June 6, 1944, as a paratrooper replacement for the 101st Airborne that jumped into Normandy.

Ralph parachuted behind enemy lines during Operation Market Garden. After Market Garden, the 101st was trucked to Bastogne where they were surrounded.

Ralph broke his clavicle on 12.21.44 but he stayed with his unit. Ralph went on to make two combat jumps during the Korean War.

Then he joined something new, the Special Forces. What a story!
