Passio HR CEO Roger Hays explains what small to midsize businesses can expect from the actions of this legislature and recently passed initiatives as the 2023 session draws to a close May 8th. Colorado legislation is picking winners and losers. Small businesses are being faced with an inordinate amount of regulations. This legislative session is approaching record amounts of drafted bills. emocrats want to decrease America’s broad middle class via legislation. Democrats are aggressively advocating for, among other things, equal pay for equal work (both in terms of equal pay regardless of gender, and equal pay regardless of skill). Listen to the full interview in the first hour.

Interview with Trent Loos

Legislative attacks on small businesses are eliminating creativity and innovation. olorado has recently passed its first right to repair law for farmers, requiring agricultural equipment manufacturers to provide farmers with tools necessary for repairing their equipment. Lobbying from animal rights groups has resulted in higher egg prices in California. The EPA makes decisions based on emotions rather than science, evident in its ban on the pesticide DDT, a carcinogen. Listen to the full interview in the second hour.
