Sixth generation farmer and rancher Trent Loos discusses what has happened with the price of eggs in Colorado and around the world. The price of eggs in Colorado has increased 133% since last January. Egg prices have been steadily increasing due to animal rights groups’ push to improve chickens’ quality of life. These efforts are not in good faith and are part of a plan to cut off the food supply. Egg prices are spiking globally, not necessarily due to the avian flu itself, but because ~38 million laying hens have been euthanized in attempts to mitigate the spread of the disease. This is an irresponsible method of mitigation. Colorado will not enforce its new cage free egg statute until 2024 due to complications from the avian flu. Egg prices are expected to continue to soar. Interview with Ted Mische

Engaged citizen Ted Mische explains the upcoming GOP bonus member elections, caucus elections, and why it is so important for the “We the People” Grass Roots to be involved. Mische explains how caucuses work. As he explains, anyone can attend causes regardless of age or whether they’re registered with the caucus’ party. Caucuses may hold elections for precinct leaders and delegates. Caucuses meet once every 2 years for 1-2 hours. Precinct leaders are considered part of the Central Committee of their county party. They vote about 4 times yearly to see if bylaws need to be adjusted. Leaders in Douglas County meet about monthly but this isn’t the case for every county. Douglas County has more precincts and precinct leaders than most other counties (unsure if in general, or just counties in Colorado).

Precinct committee people (PCP) are almost always highly involved members of their neighborhoods and communities. This is just another term for precinct leaders. Precinct committee people (PCP) are almost always highly involved members of their neighborhoods and communities. This is just another term for precinct leaders. Be sure to call your county GOP and learn when your county’s Election Day is and what its requirements entail. All Colorado counties will be electing their bonus members on Feb 1st. A bonus member is a member of a county’s executive committee who can vote for just about anything happening within the county. This is a very important role, and it’s a bit difficult to become one.
