Susan asks D.K. to review the Paramount Decree by the Supreme Court and its effect on the movie industry. This proved to be a major disruption for film studios in the late 1940’s as it was ruled they were not allowed to own their own theaters and this resulted in the studio’s loss of control. A second case is discussed, Citizens United vs. FEC. The liberal attacks regarding this decision are misguided and false as they do not understand the law surrounding the case. This case is not responsible for the massive amount of dollars given to candidates. Instead, it upheld the freedom of speech protected by the First Amendment.
