Democrats have decided that gun violence is a public health crisis rather than a public safety crisis. Public health approaches are more likely to result in the violation of rights, such as demonstrated by the covid pandemic response. The Office of Gun Violence Prevention is a new office in the CDPHE that aims to take a “public health approach” to gun violence. The new approaches being taken against gun violence will violate both privacy and second amendment rights. The Office of Gun Violence Protection must be vocally opposed.
