Co-founder of Liberty Toastmasters Brad Beck discusses the value of entry level jobs in the marketplace and his latest essay Is Entry Level Work the Dodo Bird of Today? The dodo bird had peacefully existed in its natural habitat until it was driven to extinction. The dodo went extinct specifically because its poor defense mechanisms allowed humans to hunt the species to the point of extinction. Much like the dodo, entry level jobs are becoming obsolete due to more effective methods of labor being introduced (ie AI automation). If entry level jobs go obsolete then how will young people learn the necessary skills? Listen to the full interview in the first hour.

Entrepreneur and owner of the Historic 88 Drive-In Theatre Susan Kochevar addresses property rights and the proper role of government. SB 23-213 has recently been introduced, which would essentially give the government more control over zoning + encroach on property rights. The government is usurping rural land using tax dollars. By putting economic pressure on citizens, the government is implicitly pressuring people to have to turn to subsidized housing. City planners are playing with people’s livelihoods by irresponsibly implementing zoning. City planners are playing with people’s livelihoods by irresponsibly implementing zoning.
