Derrick Wilburn, founder of the Rocky Mountain Black Conservatives, joins Kim to discuss his POC Capitol Interns Program (People of Color Capitol Interns Program). The paid internship program for ethnic college students matches students with Republican congressmen. Derrick has seen how this has helped students in their informative years as to what Republicans are and are not (i.e., “evil”). A previous intern is applying this year for another position. She states in her application, “I am tired of being held victim” by the Democratic Party and that she now understands how important it is to have less government and more personal responsibility
