Colorado is known for having the most open system for people wanting to run for office. This bill would begin to undo that. This bill would harm the caucus system, give the secretary of state absolute power on who gets onto the ballot, changes the ordering of candidates on the ballot, and allows anyone to vote on ballots regardless of whether they’re part of that party or not. Nothing on this bill is a good idea.
