Kim quotes General George Patton before introducing guest Ronald Stassen, researcher with The Best Defense Foundation who lives in the Netherlands.  Ronald cites three major battles.  D-Day and Operation Market Garden set the stage for The Battle of the Bulge.  Ronald gives a riveting discussion on The Battle of the Bulge that began December 16, 1944.  Over 100 million Allied forces fought in this battle, including 500,000 Americans; unfortunately, 19,000 were killed, 47,500 wounded and 23,000 went missing in action.   Victory came on January 25, 1945, at which time the Allies marched to Berlin and the war ended May 7, 1945.  Ronald says we must talk to veterans, preserve history, and preserve the names who so valiantly fought for freedom.
