Newly elected Douglas County GOP officers Steven Peck and Matt Emerson address unifying Coloradans to reclaim the state that we love. Peck was recently elected as Douglas County GOP chair; Emerson was elected as the first vice chair. Peck’s decision to run for chair was heavily influenced by his faith. Peck prayed numerous times around the election, not hoping for victory but instead in hope that he would be carrying out God’s will. Emerson ran, seeing an opportunity to apply his business background towards improving Republican outreach in his community. Conservatives are constantly painted as wanting to dictate others’ lives, though this is in fact usually the opposite. The 2020 election was a catalyst for numerous conservatives to increase their involvement, including for Emerson. Listen to the full interview in the second hour.
