Dr. Jill Vecchio encourages listeners to analyze data on the CDC website in regards to influenza.  Examining influenza data includes statistics based on models, sample areas (not always reliable), ILI-Influenza Like Illness, and pneumonia.  Dr. Vecchio notes that people can have pneumonia without having influenza. Are statistics being manipulated?  Additionally, statistics reveal that the flu vaccination has had minimal effect.  This is important as Dr. Fauci is advocating for nationwide COVID-19 vaccinations.

Roger Bianco, Board Member of the Leadership Program of the Rockies, reviews his article, Righty Tighty, Never Loosey, in regards to “The Rachet Effect.”  A rachet only goes in one direction until the user changes it.  The same can be said of the government in crisis—the government continually takes away our freedom by “tightening the grip” on us, the people.  If we look at history, the government has given back some but never all of the freedoms grabbed during the crisis.  To make matters worse, the government then continues to grow from this new point.  Trump is resisting pressure to implement national orders, which is good, and he has eased rules and regulations during the crisis. Hopefully these relaxing of rules and regulations will become permanent.  We should not expect the government to solve our problems as we will lose our freedom that we embrace.
