The hidden costs and mistruths about mistruths of zero-emission vehicles
Today’s featured guest is Jonathan Lesser, President of Continental Economics and an Adjunct Fellow with Manhattan Institute. Lesser is an energy and regulatory expert. Lesser is the author of Short Circuit: The High Cost of Electric Vehicle Subsidies. The report looks at the enormous cost to tax-payers to fund zero-emissions vehicles as an attempt to usher out vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. Lesser’s findings not only look at the cost of these subsidies, but it also challenges some pre-conceived notions about the benefits of zero-emission vehicles as a replacement for internal combustion vehicles. For those looking to dig deeper into Lesser’s findings, the full report can be downloaded here.
