The alarming statistics on graduation rates in Colorado schools and new standards to begin for those graduating in 2021

Today’s subject is schools and as most parents probably know, schools seem to be failing to meet minimum expectations in a number of areas. One of those areas is graduation rates for Colorado schools. Kim discusses the new testing criteria that high school graduates will be required to pass, starting with the class of 2021.

Teacher and author Roberta Sutton returns for part three in her discussion on what parents don’t know about what their children are learning—or not learning— in school

20 years ago a ten-year-old child was still a kid. The average ten-year-old believed in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy. In California today ten-year-olds are learning how to use condoms. Not only are they learning this dubious skill, but they are also competing in races to see who can do it the fastest! Roberta Sutton, author of What You Don’t Know That Your Kids Don’t Know returns for the third time to continue her discussion with Kim on what’s happening in schools. Kids are learning things they shouldn’t and being deprived of the basic educational tools needed to build a successful and productive life. You can listen to Part 1 here and Part 2 here.
