Proposition 135 Proposition 135 (Initiative 110): Prohibiting surgery on minors to alter biological sex characteristics
Prohibits knowingly providing surgery to someone under 18 in response to the minor’s perception of sex or gender, and bars public and insurance payment for that surgery. Excludes treatment for people born with a medically verifiable disorder of sex development, treatment for acquired physical or chemical abnormalities, and male circumcision.
