The ballot question
SHALL COLUMBINE KNOLLS GROVE METROPOLITAN RECREATION DISTRICT TAXES BE INCREASED BY UP TO $152,000 ANNUALLY FOR COLLECTION IN CALENDAR YEAR 2027, AND BY SUCH ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS AS MAY BE GENERATED ANNUALLY THEREAFTER, THROUGH AN ADDITIONAL PROPERTY TAX MILL LEVY OF 2.6 MILLS, IN ADDITION TO THE MILL LEVY CURRENTLY IMPOSED BY THE DISTRICT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF OPERATING, MAINTAINING, REPAIRING, AND IMPROVING DISTRICT FACILITIES; AND SHALL THE REVENUES DERIVED FROM SUCH MILL LEVY INCREASE BE AN EXCEPTION TO ALL LIMITS THAT MAY OTHERWISE APPLY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ARTICLE X, SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION (“TABOR”), AND SECTION 29-1-301 OF THE COLORADO REVISED STATUTES, AS WELL AS ANY OTHER PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE LAW AS AUTHORIZED BY PRIOR BALLOT MEASURES AND THIS BALLOT MEASURE?

- Approves the additional 2.6 mill levy from 2027, on top of the district's existing levy, retained and spent outside all limits that may otherwise apply.
- A no vote means
- Rejects the additional 2.6 mills. The district's existing mill levy continues either way.
