Shall Article VIII of the Charter of the City of Montrose, Colorado be amended to allow City Council the right to approve or disapprove the City Manager’s decision to appoint and discharge the Police Chief of the Montrose Police Department?
Where the question's words come from
What a vote does
- A yes vote means
- The council would approve or reject the manager's appointment or discharge of the police chief. The manager would retain supervision of the chief and department.
- A no vote means
- The city manager would continue to appoint and discharge the police chief without council approval.
