Denver 2K would approve a twenty-year franchise contract with Xcel Energy from 2027. The contract grants the utility the right to run its lines in the city's public rights-of-way, and in return Xcel Energy continues its undergrounding work and its payments to the city for the use of those rights-of-way. Glendale's franchise question, 2B, is under Government Structure.
