Tax Reallocation

2 measures

Haxtun 2A would divide its existing 0.5% sales and use tax equally between streets and drainage and the community center, beginning January 1, 2027. Evans 2C would expand uses of its existing tax on food for domestic consumption to include operations supporting city facilities and improvements and performance-based economic development incentives, while giving first priority to maintaining improvements previously financed by the tax. Both retain the existing tax rate. Evans also requests authority to collect and spend the tax revenue and investment earnings as a voter-approved revenue change.
