Gabe Evans is the U.S. Representative for Colorado's 8th Congressional District, having taken office in January 2025. A Republican, he represents parts of Weld and Adams counties in the Denver metropolitan area.
Evans brings extensive military and law enforcement experience to Congress. He spent twelve years in the U.S. Army and Colorado Army National Guard as a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilot and company commander, serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan from 2012 to 2013 and reaching the rank of Captain. He also served over ten years with the Arvada Police Department, rising to the rank of Lieutenant before retiring in January 2022.
The grandson of Mexican immigrants, Evans is a Colorado native who co-owns and operates a family farm in southern Weld County with his wife Anne. They have two sons and are advocates for educational choice, including homeschooling.
When Evans first appeared on the Kim Monson Show in October 2022, he was running for Colorado State House District 48, discussing Colorado's crime crisis and cost of living issues. He won that race and subsequently ran successfully for Congress in 2024.
