Modernity

The condition or quality of being modern; the state of contemporary society characterized by industrialization, technological advancement, and departure from traditional ways of life.

From French 'modernité', derived from Latin 'modernus' meaning 'just now, recent,' from 'modo' meaning 'just now.'
