Tyrannize
To exercise absolute power cruelly or unjustly; to rule or treat oppressively or despotically.
From Greek 'tyrannos' (absolute ruler) via Latin 'tyrannus' and French 'tyranniser'. Originally referred to any absolute ruler, later acquiring the negative connotation of cruel or oppressive rule.
