The Battle for Colorado’s Ballot Access and Healthcare Freedom

Civic Engagement & Grassroots

Kevin Lundberg examines SB 23-101's threat to Colorado's caucus system while Dr. Chad Savage advocates for direct primary care. February 10, 2023.

“The more money we keep in the patient's pocket, the more we work for them. Doctors are no longer necessarily the advocate of the patient. They're paid by the insurance company and the government. So they have a conflict of interest.”

“The patient needs to know they can trust their doctor, that their doctor is their advocate. And when you pay that doctor and you can fire them, that is a wonderful assurance of that.”

“So the best way, in my opinion, to do that is to depower them. Keep the money yourself. Try to engage in as many direct transactions with your providers, your doctors, your hospitals.”
