Max Brooks is a Republican member of the Colorado House of Representatives representing District 45, which includes Castle Rock, The Pinery, and Castle Pines Village in Douglas County. He was first elected to the state house in 2024, assuming office on January 8, 2025.

Prior to his state legislative service, Brooks served on the Castle Rock Town Council, first elected in 2022 representing District 5. He has served on various town boards and commissions and on the boards of other community organizations.

In the 2024 Republican primary for House District 45, Brooks defeated opponent Bill Jack with 55.72% of votes cast, and won the general election with 62.26% of the vote. His election continued Republican representation in this Douglas County district.

Brooks works professionally in advertising and marketing for KOA, a radio station in Denver. A Castle Rock resident, he brings both media industry experience and local government background to his state legislative role.
