Dr. Scott T. Bottoms serves as Colorado State Representative for House District 15, representing Colorado Springs, Cimarron Hills, and Schriever Air Force Base. A Republican, he is considered one of the most conservative members in the state legislature and received the highest rating from the Colorado Union of Taxpayers in 2025.

Bottoms is a United States Navy veteran who served eight years in the military. His service informs his legislative priorities and his advocacy for military families and veterans in his district, which includes Schriever Air Force Base.

In addition to his legislative role, Bottoms serves as Lead Pastor of Church at Briargate in Colorado Springs, where he has served since June 2012. He has over 30 years of ministry experience and holds advanced degrees in ministry: a Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries from Southwestern Assemblies of God University (2002), a Master of Arts in Urban and Intercultural Ministries from Denver Seminary (2006), and a Doctor of Ministry in Intercultural Spiritual Leadership from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (2011).

In January 2025, Bottoms announced his candidacy for the 2026 Colorado gubernatorial election, citing frustration with state leadership from both parties. His legislative focus has included constitutional rights, parental rights, pro-life legislation, and opposing what he describes as overreach in transgender policies. He has been vocal about legislative procedures such as Rule 14 and Rule 16 being used to shut down debate.

Bottoms has been married to his wife Linda for over 34 years. They have three adult children and three grandchildren.
