Emendation
An alteration intended to improve; the removal of errors, the correction of that which is erroneous or faulty; an alteration for the better or correction.
From Latin 'emendatio,' from 'emendare' meaning 'to correct, free from fault,' from 'ex-' (out) + 'mendum' (fault, blemish).
