Solidarity
Unity or agreement of feeling or action among individuals with a common interest; mutual support within a group. In political philosophy, the concept of shared responsibility between citizens and their government.
From French 'solidarite', derived from 'solidaire' meaning 'characterized by community of interests.' Rooted in Latin 'solidus' meaning 'solid' or 'whole.'
