Nancy Rumfelt serves as a School Board Director for Thompson School District in Northern Colorado, representing District C. Now in her fourth year on the board, she is committed to curriculum transparency, parental empowerment, and ensuring taxpayer funds benefit students.

Rumfelt brings significant professional and life experience to her role. She served in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1985 as an Aviation Storekeeper, stationed at NAS Miramar in San Diego and NAS Atsugi in Japan, receiving an honorable discharge at the rank of E-5. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Regis University in 2003, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Her professional career has focused on financial management, spending most of her career in CFO and Controller roles building bridges between finance and operations. She volunteers as an instructor and consultant with the Larimer Small Business Development Center, teaching business owners about business finance and management.

A lifelong Northern Colorado resident, Rumfelt was born and raised in Longmont and moved to Loveland in 2000 with her husband Robert. She has a blended family of three daughters and three grandchildren, two of whom graduated from Thompson School District schools. She has appeared on the Kim Monson Show to discuss school district issues including reading proficiency, bond proposals, and Title IX policy.
