Supreme Court strikes down Trump’s emergency tariff powers in landmark 6-3 ruling
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that President Trump cannot use emergency economic powers to impose tariffs, eliminating duties projected to generate $1.4 trillion over a decade. Trump pivoted within 24 hours to Section 122 tariffs capped at 15 percent for 150 days.
