Yvonne Paez is a former U.S. Army Military Police Captain who led and trained Special Reaction Team (SRT) units, bringing extensive experience in military security and tactics. After her military service, she served as a civilian police officer with specialized training in hostage negotiations and was assigned as Public Information Officer.

Paez brings an international perspective to her civic engagement, having spent her childhood and teenage years in Latin America, primarily in Mexico. This experience informs her commentary on border security, Latin American culture, American Exceptionalism, and the contrast between freedom and government corruption she witnessed abroad. She also holds a degree in animal science with experience in dairy farming and horses.

Paez is co-founder of Perspectives101, a nonpartisan civic organization in Northern Colorado dedicated to informing citizens about important issues through speakers and honest discussion. Through this organization she has organized community events, public meetings and educational programs on topics ranging from medical freedom to local government accountability.

Her activism has included participating in the 2021 rally in Fort Collins where 2,000 residents successfully protested Larimer County’s vaccine verification program, leading the fight against Fort Collins’ mandatory trash service fees and coordinating volunteer efforts for Protect Kids Colorado ballot initiatives on children’s protection issues.

Paez occasionally serves as a guest host for the Kim Monson Show and has appeared as a regular guest since 2021, providing expert commentary on security matters, local government issues and national security threats based on her military and law enforcement background.
