From the inception of the COVID vaccines, Wons harbored deep concerns, as he firmly believes that the rush to ensure long-term safety and efficacy is fraught with risk. The idea of administering a vaccine with less than a year of development deeply troubled him. Devoted to his faith, Wons took steps to file a religious exemption request to avoid receiving the vaccine. However, this religious accommodation was later rescinded, leading to his placement on unpaid leave. Thermo Fisher presented Wons with a stark ultimatum: either get vaccinated within the next 30 days or face termination. Regrettably, Wons ultimately found himself terminated from his position.
