The ongoing writers’ strike, if not resolved in the next few weeks, is poised to deal a crippling blow to the theater industry as nearly all productions have come to a halt due to the strike’s impact. Kochevar, sharing her perspective, attributes the strike largely to a moral panic, expressing skepticism about the extent to which AI could potentially aid in screenplays and disrupt job opportunities. On a different note, it is worth noting that political or religious movies, exemplified by the success of films like “Sound of Freedom,” have been performing notably well in recent times.
