Trent England, author of Why We Should Protect the Electoral College, joins Kim to examine the recent Supreme Court decision regarding “faithless electors.” Associate Justice Elana Kagan wrote the majority opinion stating if an elector defies the will of the state’s voters by not casting his/her vote correctly, the elector may be removed or sanctioned. The Electoral College was established in the US Constitution so that the largest and most populated states, New York and Virginia, could not control the outcome of national elections.
Guest Democrat political strategist Ted Trimpa, Principal and CEO of the Trimpa Group, discusses with Kim the destruction of the People’s House, Colorado’s State Capitol. There are protests and then there is “thuggery.” What is taking place is thuggery as the defacement of public property is continued on a nightly basis. If no resistance is met, the “thugs” believe there is acceptance and will only do more damage and spread out to the suburbs as seen in Aurora. Gun ownership is important, and in these turbulent times a firearm may be needed to protect your loved ones and your property. Clean up the Capitol, Governor Polis and Speaker KC Becker.
