Windsor recycling plant faces the end of operations over the Colorado Department of Public Health (CDPHE) pressure

Brand Technologies is a Windsor, Colorado company that uses modern technology to recycle asphalt shingles. This is a service that could prevent thousands and thousands of gallons of oil from contaminating Colorado soil. But the CDPHE is trying to shut the company down, claiming it’s actually a disposal site. Sherrie Pief of Complete Colorado joins Kim to report on this story, which begs the questions: is recycling really an environmental priority for the current administration? Listen to the conversation and go here and here for Pief’s full reporting of the developing story.

Energy poverty is a real threat to developing countries

Energy poverty, not Climate Change threatens poor countries. In today’s political climate, things get hot when talking about climate change. Politicians, bureaucrats and interested parties (PBIs) use emotional arguments to push forward their agendas. If we really care about helping people in poor countries then we have to look for real, not fabricated, solutions.
Today is the Health & Hydrocarbons show, brought to you by Liberty Oilfield Services.

Don Watkins, with the Center for Industrial Progress, returns to the show. Don and Kim will have a conversation about how important affordable energy and industrialization is to the world’s poor and developing countries.
