Larry Behrens, communications director with Power the Future, explains why smart meters are a dumb idea. Xcel, the energy company, has decided to impose fees on individuals who opt out of installing smart meters. This move by energy companies raises concerns as it could potentially lead to the normalization of energy poverty under the guise of environmental protection. Furthermore, it seems to reflect an intention to showcase their dominance over consumers’ choices and preferences.

Interview with Michael Brandow

Michael Brandow discusses his satirical book What’s the Problem Now? Black Grievances and White Guilt. In his analysis, Brandow delves into the issue of how black individuals in America have experienced both demeaning treatment and a sense of entitlement as a result of being offered preferential treatment in the pursuit of equality. Progressives play a role in this by encouraging various groups, particularly black people, to emphasize their collective identities over individuality, inadvertently perpetuating stereotypes. Moreover, there is concern that some black Americans might feel pressured to adopt aspects of ghetto culture due to implicit coercion from societal influences.
