Author Scott S. Powell shares little known details about Christopher Columbus. Christopher Columbus gets a bad rap from the left. Columbus never actually set foot in any land that would become the continental United States. The civilizations that Columbus engaged with were downright barbaric. The legacy of Columbus was tainted by some of the choices his crew made against the natives. In reality, Columbus’ discoveries helped bring order to America. Columbus was a Christian evangelist who grew up in a working class family, but his character and self-confidence brought him great success. His religious beliefs were the basis for his ambitions.
