Kim and Trent Loos broadcasting live from the National Western Stock Show. The National Western Stock Show boasts a rich history that even predates the founding of Colorado by a couple of years. Remarkably, it has been held annually, with only a few exceptions during World War II. Loos, reflecting on the National Western, views it as a celebration of life and nature, highlighting its cultural and historical importance. In a related discussion, Loos brings attention to a current issue in Germany, where the parliament is debating the implementation of a farmer-only tax on diesel. This proposed tax has sparked protests among farmers, who are voicing their concerns and opposition to what they perceive as an unfair financial burden.

Interview with Leigh Brown

Play like you're positive on the victory, even though they're leading big now.

Knute Rockne

Knute Rockne, a pivotal figure in American football history, was born on March 4, 1888, in Voss, Norway, and moved to the United States at age five. He gained fame as a player and coach at the University of Notre Dame. As a player from 1910 to 1913, he was part of the undefeated 1913 team, known for popularizing the forward pass. Rockne’s true legacy, however, lies in his coaching career. From 1918 to 1930, he transformed Notre Dame into a football powerhouse, achieving a remarkable 105-12-5 record. His innovative strategies, motivational skills, and emphasis on meticulous planning revolutionized the sport. Rockne’s teams won three national championships and had five undefeated seasons. Tragically, his life and career were cut short in a plane crash on March 31, 1931. Rockne’s influence extended beyond Notre Dame; he left an indelible mark on college football, shaping its early development and popularizing it across the United States.
