Citizen activist George Allen (who has saved taxpayers millions over the years) discusses why the timing is totally wrong for the Douglas County School Board to ask for more money. Allen is a member of Citizens for Tax Fairness, an organization advocating for equitable taxation. The group’s website, serves as a platform for their mission. Allen urges voters in Douglas County to oppose two ballot measures related to the Douglas County School District: 5A, a mill levy override, and 5B, a $484 million bond for capital investments. Despite the school district’s assertion that these measures are essential for the district’s prosperity, Allen contends that, in reality, teachers and students would not experience any tangible improvements from their passage. Interview with Bill Rutledge
Col. Bill Rutledge (Ret. USAF) shares his review of Eric Mextaxas’ book Bonhoeffer. At the age of 27, Bonhoeffer had already gained recognition as a notable authority on Christianity when Hitler rose to power. His prominence outside Germany might not have been as pronounced if not for the Nazi regime, which compelled him to leave the country and travel abroad. Living under the Nazi regime, Germans were indoctrinated to venerate Hitler as a deity—a sentiment that deeply troubled Bonhoeffer. In a bold move against the oppressive regime, he became involved in a thwarted plot to assassinate Hitler, a plan that included a suicide bombing. Regrettably, the bomb failed to detonate, altering the course of history. Listen to the full interview in the second hour.
