Entrepreneur Lisa Bennett and her twelve-year-old daughter Nicole explain how Nicole is organizing a ballot question in Montana to reclaim the proper role of government and the judiciary for “We the People.”  Following her participation in TeenPact, a Christian non-profit organization focused on educating about state legislature, Nicole became inspired to draft her own bill. Her proposed legislation aims to eliminate the requirement for lawyers to attend law school. In all 50 states, the authority to license lawyers lies with the Supreme Court, granting the judicial branch complete control over the legal profession. Nicole’s bill has been submitted to the office of Montana’s secretary of state and is presently undergoing scrutiny. It is worth noting that while the bar examination is mandatory in all states, a few states do offer apprenticeships as an alternative path to law school.
