Patriotic historian and West Point graduate Ben Martin discusses intriguing details regarding the end of our Revolutionary War.  The Siege of Yorktown was the final battle of the revolutionary war fought on US soil. The Continental Congress promised fighters in the Revolutionary War that they would receive pensions for their work. Following the Siege of Yorktown, Congress was unable to come through on this promise. George Washington and Horatio Gates (a general renowned for his role in the battles of Saratoga) came together and vowed to get the soldiers their pensions, one way or another.

Interview with Jay Davidson

Founder and CEO of First American State Bank Jay Davidson discusses the recent election. Davidson explains that the real problem is that Americans are no longer students of history. Government entities often result in positions of power when people can’t decide how to solve a problem, deciding to let the government handle it instead. In reality, most of these problems can be solved through the free market.  Democrats are highly emotionally intelligent and use fear mongering tactics to get people to vote for them. Republicans need to think more deeply and articulate themselves more clearly if they hope to compete against Democrats. Elite GOP members who push for more government control are no better than Democrats. Listen to the full interview in the second hour.
