Liberty Toastmaster Dave Walden discusses his recent speech regarding the value of money. In his speech, Walden expounds on the inherent significance of money. He highlights that “vintage” currency, despite possessing equivalent purchasing power to modern equivalents, often carries added worth when bills and coins were produced before specific dates. An instance of this is quarters minted prior to 1964, which can yield extra value due to their authentic silver content. This phenomenon parallels the concept of inflation, demonstrating how currency gradually depreciates due to governmental interference. Walden draws parallels to the notion of inflation by revealing its connection to currency devaluation over time.

He further asserts that inflation will persist, driven by the realization within the government that public opposition is unlikely. This perception, in turn, perpetuates the cycle of currency devaluation. Consequently, the trajectory of diminishing currency value will persist as long as inflation remains unchecked.
