Roger Hays, CEO of Passio HR explains that most Coloradans now realize they would prefer having their own money in their own pockets. The predictive scheduling bill being drafted would require business owners to guarantee their employees work schedule for 2 weeks out, down to every last hour, even if over scheduled. The purpose of this bill is to guarantee that employees get paid. This bill would force businesses to plan schedules by 2 weeks instead of just one at a time. The bill would be terrible for (small) businesses, business owners, employees, and customers alike.

Professor Kurt Guerwitz on AI Enhancements

Kurt Gerwitz shares his perspective on Artificial Intelligence. Most of the recently publicized advancements in AI have been in generative technology, ie. chat bots and Chat GPT. OpenAI, the company that developed ChatGPT, started as a nonprofit but became a limited for-profit. Microsoft gave them a $10 billion investment. Chat GPT has numerous guardrails to prevent it from generating illegal and offensive content. There’s an ongoing race for AI development, and OpenAI is practically at the lead. Kim and Gerwitz question what might happen if people become dependent on AI, sort of like how they’ve become dependent on calculators for math. Listen to the full interview in the second hour.

Interview with Paige Agostin

Paige Agostin, with the Center for Renewing America, joins Kim to discuss the needs for Conservatives to take back political control and cut government spending. Listen to the full interview in the first hour.
