WWII Veteran, Donald Cobb, joined the Navy because he liked water and didn’t like the mud. He served on the USS Murphy, a Navy Destroyer. Donald vividly remembers D-Day, watching the 2nd Ranger Battalion scale the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc. Donald recently completed his book, The Lady with the Shamrock, about his experiences aboard the USS Murphy.
